Wilmington’s First Social District Launches

(Sat) After a trial run in February and lots of advocacy from local businesses, the Brooklyn Arts District official launches as a social district (open container).

Wilmington Riverfest

(Sat) Two-day downtown festival with music, fireworks, local vendors and kids activities at Wilmington Riverwalk.

Fire in the Pines Festival

(Sun) Celebrate the longleaf pine ecosystem with a burn demo, hayrides, raptors & more at Halyburton Park.

I was out at Trask Family Farms recently on my annual pumpkin run!

They have the only real pumpkin patch in the area. Apparently, growing pumpkins on the coast is nearly impossible due to the heat and humidity. So this is a really special opportunity we have!

Along with 4 acres of pumpkins, they also have 10 acres of corn mazes, and 8 acres of flowers to pick!
