Carolina Beach Music Fest

(Sat-Sun) North Carolina’s only music festival on the beach! This annual festival will feature country on Saturday and Reggae on Sunday

NC’s Largest Sunflower Maze Opening

(Sat) Trask Family Farms located near the airport is excitedly opening their doors for the season. Enjoy a sunflower maze, u-pick flowers, produce, and kid friendly activities.

Surf n’ Turf Fashion Show

(Sun) Runway, art, music, and community featuring bold local fashion, good eats, live Djs, and more at Eagles’s Dare

Thursday (5/5)

  • Open Mic Comedy: Free every Thursday at Dead Crow Comedy Club

  • Clothing Swap: Keeping fashion sustainable & circular at Earnest Money and Sons. Bring some clothes, take some, leave some. The rest will be donated.

  • Summer Boardwalk Blast: Live music and fireworks on the Carolina Beach Boardwalk

Friday (5/6)

  • Grain to Oven Workshop - The most unique experience only available 2 weeks out of the year. Head to Johnson Nursery to pick grain directly from the field and turn it into fresh flour to make pizzas with. (Friday & Saturday)

  • Weekend in Wilmington - Support UNCW alumni-owned businesses across the port city from coffee shops to comic book stores

  • Free Concert Friday - Modern Country Tribute at Eagles Dare. If it rains, they event will be held indoors.

Saturday (5/7)

  • Rock the Day for United Way: A full day of live music at The Bend for a good cause

  • Flytrap Frolic: 15th annual environmental event featuring our rare carnivorous plants that are native to Wilmington. Enjoy games, arts and crafts, face painters, and more!

  • Riverfront Farmers Market: Every Saturday from 8-1 shop seasonal produce, flowers, and artisanal goodies

Sunday (6/8)

  • Rock the Dock - Live music series at Bluewater Waterfront Grill

  • Weekly Jazz Jam - Food truck and weekly jazz jam hosted by Jay Killman at Fermental

  • Dispatch with John Butler - Sunset concert at Live Oak Bank Pavilion, Dispatch brings their signature blend of folk, rock, reggae, and alternative sounds

I was just out at Trask Family Farm this weekend, and would y’all believe me if I told you the biggest sunflower field in NC is owned by a 24 year old?

Graham got into farming 3 years ago and has his sight set one being a place for the community to pick flowers, spend time in nature, have access to fresh produce, and learn!

They’re conveniently located near the ILM airport, so take a peek out your window next time you’re flying in to see if you can see their field!

6/7 - Carolina Beach Music Festival: Enjoy the longest- running beach music festival in the US that is still held on the beach AND they’ve added an additional day this year for Reggae

6/14 - Sunflower Festival: NC’s largest sunflower maze / field features half a million flowers, themed games, 40+ craft vendors, live music, hayrides, u-pick flowers and more at Trask Family Farms located near the airport
